Little Extra is an incredible
part of my life. That teaching is a vocation is forgotten by and large. I remember the teachers of my childhood
and, at one level, my work is perhaps my expression of the gratitude I feel towards them.
I believe that Education is a basic need and must be fulfilled, no matter who we are, what our circumstances, and
how marginalized our existence. An ability to learn and to apply this learning is the only key to survival, hope,
change and growth. Education makes the difference between the "hopeless" and the "privileged".
We need to bridge that gap to the best of our ability.
I am deeply grateful to all who stood by me and gave me strength to follow my dreams. It has been a rocky road.
But I have traveled this far with faith and I know that there is much left to achieve. From its small and stumbling
beginnings, Little Extra has come a very long way. |
